Despite its seaweed-like appearance, it’s actually a type of fern gametophyte—closely related to ferns rather than true mosses or algae. Its soft, bright green fronds form fluffy, tangled mats that provide both aesthetic appeal and excellent shelter for shrimp and small fish. This plant is ideal for low-tech aquariums and can be used as foreground, midground, or tied to hardscape like driftwood or rocks.
